Robert F. McGrath  (In Memoriam 1933-2010)

Robert F. McGrath, a founding partner in the law firm of McGrath and Kane, Attorneys at Law, Inc., specialized in the practice of Family Law.  A “Triple Eagle” (Boston College High School, Boston College and Boston College Law School) who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958, Mr. McGrath was President of the Boston College Law School Alumni Association from 1973 to 1975.  Mr. McGrath was a recipient of the Boston College Law School 50th Anniversary Award, and in 1986 received the Honorable Haskell C. Freedman Award.  He held a Masters Degree in Taxation from Boston University Law School (1978), and he was listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 1983 until his death in 2010.

Robert F. McGrath was a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers between 1974 and his death in 2010.  He served as a member of the National Board of Governors for the AAML from 1984 to 1988, and as a President of the Massachusetts Chapter from 1978 to 1979.  Mr. McGrath was also a member of the American College of Family Law Trial Lawyers (1995), and was a frequent lecturer and author for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
